"My niece made these for our 4th of July party and they were gone before dessert was even served! Everyone loved them and kept going back for one more of "those pretzel things"! So easy to make- a definite for my Christmas cookie baskets."

 1. I got this recipe from a girl I used to work with - after one bite I had to know how to make these! Now my family and friends have nicknamed them "crack" because you just can't stop munching on them. I use the butter snap pretzels made by Snyder - they are shaped like square checkerboards and are perfect for this candy. These make great gifts :)

 2. I was introduced to these about 8 or 10 years ago and have been making them since at Christmas time. To save time opening the rollos get the boxes with 36 rolls of eight, open eight at a time. I get them at Sam’s Club.

 3. I can't have sugar, so I tried this recipe with Russel Stovers Sugar Free Carmel Drops and they were great. I took them to a party last night and they were the first things gone. Thanks!!!

 4. These are so good! I made them with the square Dove chocolate caramel candies and Snyder's Snap (square) pretzels to take to a Memorial day BBQ. Of course we had to sample a few. :) Just to know, a bag of Snap pretzels is more than enough for 2 (9.5 oz) bags of Dove squares, and I got about 50 or so. I could've probably used about 3 bags of Dove candies. My husband suggested Peanut butter Dove candies, sandwiched between two pretzel snaps - I might try that next time! Thanks for the idea!

 5. Love these. I place parchment paper on the cookie sheet before baking. Also, for a major time saving tip: buy the Rollo bars in the candy isle rather than in a bag so you don't have to unwrap each Rollo individually (there are 8 candies per bar, so buy as needed).

Tweaks

 1. I had gotten this recipe from a school parent who brought these treats in for the office staff to enjoy. WOW!!! I was hooked. I add a sprinkling of confectionery sugar to mine and they look oh so pretty and taste even better...if that's possible. I don't think there's an easier dessert to make that is so darn good!!! gail walsh 2/4/2018

 2. I used Teddy Grahams instead of pecans.

 3. I posted these, but my recipe was removed for being a duplicate, so I am posting this review...These are a GREAT treat, especially during the holidays, or for any other occasion you want to bring a goodie that everybody will love! You can decorate the tops with milk chocolate M&M's or Peanut M&M's, or pastel M&M's or Spicy Gum Drops or Jelly Beans for Easter, orange, yellow and brown M&M's for Halloween etc. Also great using a Hershey Kiss instead of the Rolo, and adding an M&M OR a walnut half, cashews, pecan half, or peanuts on top! You could also add Cinnamon Candies or Candy Hearts with sayings on top for Valentine's Day! The options are endless with these little gems!

 4. There were no bulk rolos at the store, so I bought Reisen, and they give the candy a nice chocolately richness. I also topped them with dried cranberries instead of nuts. But what a great idea!

I love to cook and bake. I have three boys and a DH who don't mind trying new things. I really try to have something different for dinner every night, unless of course it is a favorite. Also, we have a large family and get together alot, so I tend to look for easy recipes that feed a crowd. Love to try new appetizers and desserts. I read ALOT and belong to a neighborhood book club. If it is out there, I have probably read it!
